Small Beginnings

Small beginnings are quite a pattern of Christian ministry. Paul was afflicted, perplexed, persecuted and struck down, but never crushed, despairing, or forsaken (2 Cor 4:8). From unimpressive ‘clay pots’ God does His glorious work. We’re a long way from any of that, but we’re not any more impressive.

The tech businesses of the Silicon Docks in Dublin are filled with workers from Ireland and overseas. Many are only in the office one day a week as Covid lockdowns have changed the working environment. However, they still need to hear of Jesus!  So reading the Bible 1-1 online, and where possible in each other’s company in a cafe, is a small but vital beginning. It may look unimpressive, but to Christians who are feeling isolated, it’s balm. And to those people who are wanting to know more about Christianity and Jesus—it may be life-giving!
